Dr. Gary L. Cordon, Sr., was appointed District Superintendent of the Edenton District Churches of God in Christ on Sunday, March 27, 2022, during the Edenton Church of God in Christ’s Anniversary celebration. Bishop LeRoy Jackson Woolard bestowed this honor upon Dr. Cordon.

In the same ceremony, Bishop Woolard also made two other appointments. He appointed Elder Walter Roberson as the new Pastor of the Edenton Church of God in Christ. Additionally, he appointed Elder Ryan Keyes as the pastor of the former St. Paul Church of God in Christ in Tyner, North Carolina, which he received permission to rename Liberty Worship Center Church of God in Christ re-located to Williamston, North Carolina.

These appointments marked a significant milestone in the Edenton District Churches of God in Christ, solidifying the leadership and vision of the district.
