SCRIPTURE — Luke 19:10 (KJV)
“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Luke 19:10 (KJV)
TRUTH: JESUS CAME ON PURPOSE
Jesus did not come by accident, and He did not come merely to make bad people better. He came to seek and to save that which was lost. He came looking for people who were separated from God, wounded by sin, trapped by life, burdened by guilt, and unable to rescue themselves. He did not wait for us to find Him. He came looking for us.
That means every soul matters to Him. The person everybody else has overlooked matters. The person who has failed repeatedly matters. The person who feels too far gone matters. The person who has never walked into a church, and the person who knows church language but still does not know Christ, both matter. Jesus is still seeking today.
REALITY: THE WORLD IS RESTLESS
We live in a world filled with uncertainty. Wars and rumors of war continue. Nations strain under economic pressure and moral confusion. Division runs deep. Violence claims lives without warning. Storms, shootings, sudden losses, broken homes, addiction, loneliness, fear, and hopelessness remind us that no one is promised tomorrow.
Local communities feel that weight too. Families are hurting. Young people are searching for identity, purpose, and hope. Many are carrying private pain behind public smiles. The urgency of the hour is clear: time is short and eternity is long.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Your life can change in a moment. Sin is real. Judgment is real. Eternity is real. But so is the love of God.
God is not calling you because you have everything together. He is calling you because He loves you. The gospel is not the announcement that you can save yourself if you work hard enough. The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ has done for us what we could never do for ourselves.
THE GOSPEL
God loves you. Sin separates humanity from Him. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. Salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Scripture declares, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Do not wait until you feel worthy. Do not wait until you have fixed everything. You cannot clean yourself well enough to earn salvation. Come to Christ as you are, but come willing to surrender. Jesus did not die merely to improve your old life; He rose again so that you might walk in newness of life.
A PRAYER OF SALVATION
Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I repent of my sins and turn to You. Forgive me and cleanse me. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. I surrender my life to You. Save me and lead me from this day forward. Amen.
The words of a prayer do not save by themselves; Jesus saves. Put your faith in Him. Trust His finished work. Turn from sin and follow Him.
YOUR NEXT STEPS
- Read the Word. Begin with John 3:16, Romans 10:9–10, and Acts 16:31. Then begin reading the Gospel of John so you can know Jesus more clearly.
- Pray every day. Talk to God honestly. Bring Him your questions, fears, failures, hopes, and decisions.
- Connect with a Bible-believing church. Join us for the next worship celebration experience at The Evidence Churches, in person or through our livestream.
- Tell somebody what Jesus has done. A new believer does not have to know everything before sharing the good news. Tell someone that Jesus came looking for the lost—and that includes them.
TRAIN TO WIN SOULS
Our assignment is not only to receive the gospel but to carry it. Win Souls, Keep Souls, Train Souls to Win Souls! Share this message with one person today. Send them the link. Call them. Sit with them. Pray with them. Invite them to worship. Sometimes the one Jesus is seeking is already close enough for you to reach.
WHAT GOD IS SHOWING ME…
The harvest is still white—go after the one.
We can become so impressed by crowds that we forget heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents. Jesus sees the one. He crosses the road for the one. He calls the one by name. He restores the one everybody else counted out.
FINAL CHARGE
Today is the day of salvation—run to Jesus now and live. Do not allow shame to make you hide from the One who came looking for you. Do not allow yesterday to convince you that tomorrow cannot be different. Jesus Christ is still saving, still restoring, still calling, and still seeking the lost.
God is God and I believe God.
