Equipping Believers for Kingdom Assignment
By Superintendent Gary L. Cordon, Sr.
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” – Ephesians 4:11–12 (KJV)
⸻
There is an actual divine reason you are still here.
You weren’t just saved to sit—you were saved to serve. You weren’t redeemed just to wait on Heaven’s gates, but to fulfill your Heaven’s assignment right here on Earth. And you weren’t created to barely get by because you were created to thrive in your purpose and walk boldly in your calling.
That’s why The Evidence Experience exists.
We are in a spiritual hour where the world needs more than inspirational quotes because with the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that presents Him as the Answer for the world and whosoever will. They, the world and whosoever will, needs Kingdom-equipped believers—full of wisdom, bold in witness, and trained for impact.
⸻
The Problem: Many Believe, Few Are Equipped
The Church is full of potential. Matthew 9:37-38 (KJV)
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.”
Therefore, potential without preparation leads to stagnation. Many believers are sincere, but not trained. They feel a call, but don’t know how to walk it out. They’re spiritually alive, but practically stuck.
And so we ask, How can we Win Souls, Keep Souls, and Train Souls to Win Souls… if we don’t equip the saints for the work?
⸻
The Mandate: Equip. Empower. Send.
Paul made it plain.
Ephesians 4:11-14 (KJV)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
The role of every God-ordained leader is to perfect the saints—that is, to train and equip them for real ministry.
Here’s what equipping looks like at The Evidence Experience:
• Teaching the Word with Clarity: Sound doctrine and real-life application
• Training in Leadership: Biblical strategies for personal, church, and community leadership
• Empowering Bold Witness: Sharing your testimony, your gifts, and the Gospel with confidence
• Encouraging Fruitfulness: Helping you not just grow in faith—but produce “lasting fruit”
⸻
The Transformation: What Happens When You’re Equipped
When believers are truly equipped, we see:
• Ministries multiply
• Souls are won with consistency
• Families are strengthened
• Communities are changed
• Legacies are built
You’ll begin to see your life not just as a journey of survival, but as a testimony of Kingdom thriving.
⸻
From Surviving to Thriving Starts with Obedience
The path from purpose to power always runs through preparation. Jesus spent 30 years preparing for 3 years of ministry. David was anointed, but he was also trained before being put on the throne. Paul was called, but he was discipled.
And now—it’s your time.
